Identification documents
- Citizens of the European Economic Area and Switzerland: national ID or valid passport
- Other nationalities: valid passport for the duration of the stay + visa
- Everyone: birth certificate (translation and certified true copy)
- Driving license: if you want to drive in France, hire a car for the weekend, etc.
- Documents for studies:
- Certificate of enrolment in the institution (make a note of the addresses and contact information for your school or university, department, section and International Relations Department)
- Language certificate (French, English, etc.)
- Prior diplomas: translation and certified true copy
- Health and immunization record: original or copy
Day-to-day life
- Your mobile telephone (in case of emergency): activate the international option if necessary
- A bank card that lets you withdraw money in France (check inter-bank agreements)
- Your printed housing reservation
- Documents requested to receive the keys to your housing
- Your printed train reservation
- Your printed itinerary from the airport (train, metro, bus, etc.): airports, train, bus, walking, etc. (cf. “1 month before” sheet)
