If you travel to a European Union country, you will need your European Health Insurance Card (which you can obtain from your National Insurance office, valid for one year).

  • Algerian students on placements in Algeria:

During their time at the company, students continue to be covered by the student health insurance scheme which gives them their status, in accordance with legislation on social insurance.

  • Algerian students on placements abroad:

A certificate of travel insurance (covering illness, hospitalization and repatriation) is required for the duration of the stay.

A visa is compulsory to come to Lebanon. The terms and conditions for obtaining a visa vary by country. It is recommended that you contact the Embassy of Lebanon in your home country to enquire about the documents you will need to provide and to fulfil the necessary procedures. Authorization is required in order to work in Lebanon. This authorization is requested by the employer as follows:

Visa formalities

People of nationalities that are subject to the visa requirement must contact the Consulate of Tunisia covering their place of residence.

The following documents are required for a visa application:

- A passport photo;
- A copy of the first pages of your current passport (valid for at least six months);
- A copy of both sides of your current residence permit;

La République islamique de Mauritanie, ancienne colonie française, indépendante depuis 1960, a connu plusieurs changements de ses jours de weekend, mais la population en majorité musulmane semble plutôt pencher en faveur du vendredi comme journée de repos.

Depuis octobre 2014 le samedi et le dimanche sont jours de week-end, au lieu du vendredi et samedi.

Pour ce qui est des horaires, en semaine, de 8h à 16h du dimanche au jeudi. Le vendredi jusqu’à 12h. Les banques et les administrations sont ouvertes de 8h à 13h. Pendant le Ramadan de 9 heures à 16 heures.

Pour le transport en commun, 100 UM (0,25 cts d’euros)

Pour le taxi cela peut varier de 100 UM à 200 UM (0,25 cts à 0,50 cts d’euros).

En général, les taxis fonctionnent par zone ou quartier. Parfois pour vous rendre à un endroit il vous faudra donc prendre 2 taxis, le premier vous amènera à la zone où vous pourrez prendre le deuxième qui vous conduira à votre destination finale.

Dans l’Université de Nuakchott 96 chambres individuelles sont mises à la disposition des étudiants boursiers, inscrits en quatrième année universitaire.

Les frais de location des chambres sont prélevés sur les bourses des étudiants bénéficières chaque trimestre à raison de 600 UM par mois pour chaque étudiant.

Prix moyens des auberges c'est entre 4 500 à 10 000 UM (11,70 à 26 €).
